We added this phono-stage to have an entry level solution available. If you however wish to have lots of joy from your vinyl, then please consider the Pro-Ject phonobox. The B-Tech BT26 is a low-noise, high-gain pre-amplifier designed specifically for use with turntables with magnetic cartridges, or with microphones. The pre-amplifier has a slide switch on the front panel that lets you select the microphone or turntable input. The BT26 pre-amplifier allows you to connect a turntable to a receiver or amplifier that does not have a phono input. It raises the output of the turntable to a level of 150mV RMS, allowing it to be connected to an Auxiliary or Line Input. The unit has two 1/4" (6.3mm) jacks, which allow you to connect one or two mono microphones, or one stereo microphone with one or two plugs. - Front Panel Inputs:
- Microphone Input: 2 Female 1/4" Phone Jacks (one labeled "Mono", one labeled "Stereo")
- Phono Input: Gold-plated female stereo RCA jacks
- Rear Panel Outputs:
- Audio Output: Gold-plated female stereo RCA jacks
- 12V DC Input: 1.3mm DC socket
