Upon ABC's original 1970 release, The Jackson brothers were regarded as more of a singles act. ABC drastically changed that, and in addition to the radio classics "ABC," "The Love You Save" and "I Found That Girl," the quintet produces fine versions of other Motown stars' hits and a tough version of Funkadelic's funny psychedelic-soul nugget "I'll Bet You." The preteen Michael emotes more than credibly on the likes of Stevie Wonder's "Don't Know Why I Love You" and Smokey's "(Come 'Round Here) I'm the One You Need."
