Libera Me (11:00) Libérez-moi/Set me free Chion is a renowned composer of experimental music, and was an assistant to Pierre Schaeffer in 1970 as well as a member of the Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM) between 1971-1976. Chion is also a leading theoretician of the acousmatic and audio-visual arts and has published numerous books and essays on film. Requiem was produced at the studios of the Groupe de Recherches Musicales and originally premiered in 1973 at the Théâtre Récamier in Paris, in a concert given by the GRM. Awarded the Grand Prix Du Disque from the Académie Du Disque Français in 1978.
