Not Too LateNot Too Late is a collection of 13 original songs either written or co-written by Norah, which was produced by Lee Alexander, her longtime songwriting partner and bass player. When Norah Jones released her debut album in February 2002, the then 22-year-old singer would never have imagined that it would go on to become one of the best-selling debuts of all-time. The singer-songwriter-pianist returned in February 2004 with Feels Like Home, which proved that Norah s success was no fluke, winning a Grammy and selling multi-platinum! 11 of 13 songs on Not Too Late are Norah s creations. The two exceptions are Sinkin Soon, which was co-written by Norah and features vocal contributions from singer-songwriter M. Ward, and the soulful Thinking About You, which Norah co-wrote with Wax Poetic bandleader Ilhan Ersahin in 1999. As a performer Norah has reached a new level of confidence after what she jokingly refers to as her awkward phase and on Not Too Late she delves more directly into the world around her, from the darkly comic My Dear Country to the poignantly uplifting closing song which reassures us that It s Not Too Late for Love. Many of the musicians on the album will be familiar to Norah Jones fans, including guitarists Jesse Harris and Adam Levy, drummer Andy Borger and singer Daru Oda.
