The RPM5 is replaced by the RPM5.1 The 5.1 is better then before, much better! However the description below is the old RPM5, we will add new information soon. The RPM-5 makes a stunning design and audio performance statement at an affordable price. A resonance-optimized platter rests upon an MDF plinth with a suspended motor assembly optimized for low resonance and speed stability. The table incorporates stainless steel axle that runs on a Teflon bearing plate in a bronze housing for lower wow-and-flutter and superior speed accuracy. Three-point aluminum cone feet further reduce noise and vibration. A fixed headshell 9” tonearm with precision Swiss bearings and rigid carbon fiber arm tube provides superior tracking and cartridge control. Accurate adjustment of both VTA and azimuth is easily done. Detachable interconnect cable and a screw down record clamp are included. | • | Tonearm bearing comprises inverted hardened stainless-steel points and sapphire thrust-pads | | • | Conical carbon fibre armtube allows adjustment of needle azimuth despite fixed headshell | | • | Vertical tracing angle adjustable | | • | MDF platter with cork mat and record clamp | | • | Low-tolerance chrome-plated stainless-steel axle runs on a Teflon bearing plate in a sintered bronze bearing housing | | • | Motor decoupled to reduce vibration | | • | Central metal block optimises centre of gravity | | • | Rubber-damped aluminium cones |
