This is the first collection of Roy Orbison Hit tunes, about half taken from the first two albums "Lonely and Blue" and "Crying", with the remaining songs being singles that were not released on LP. Released in 1962 prior to Orbison's third album, this LP includes "Only The Lonely", "Evergreen", "Crying", "Uptown", "Running Scared", "Love Star", "Dream Baby", "The Crowd", "Blue Angel", "Candy Man", "I'm Hurtin'" and "Mama", cut on an all tube cutting system by Bernie Grundman from a compilation analog reel assembled from the actual session masters - not copies. You can't get a Roy Orbison "Greatest Hits" on LP that is closer to the original analog master tapes - as it should be.
