| Every audio connection has three electrical parameters which determine its capability of transfering audiosignals. These are the inductive reactance X, the capacitance C and the resistance R. For all these parameters the value is doubled when the cablelength is doubled while all parameters have a bad influence on the audiosignal. The cables values of inductive reactance X and resistance R are extremely low compared to the same parameters of a source like a CD player. The value of capacitance C however can not be neglected. This capacitance has a big influence on the transport of high frequencies and needs some extra attention. Lowering this capacitance C by buying an interlink which uses a better cable is one way to upgrade the performance of the audio system. It is even more clever to find this good interlink with a length not longer then really needed. The Shortlink is such a solution, both a good cable and short length! | | |

By shortening the length of the cable a capacitance of less then 80pF can be achieved, less then the capacitance of common used one meter length interlinks. This works out as a very low signal loss at a 100kHz frequency. And this is not all. While the low capacitance of the shortlink lets you experience a wonderfull soundstage and lots of air, the 16 strands of copper core in a nylon isolater gives you an excellent mid- and bass control. The 65 strands woven signal return acts as a quality ground connection between source and load. All connections are manually soldered with silver-loaded lead-free solder on good quality Neutrik connectors. | | |
