Dave Brubeck /Dave Brubeck Quartet

David Warren (Dave) Brubeck (1920 –2012) was an American jazz pianist and composer. His best-known group, the Dave Brubeck Quartet was with saxophonist Paul Desmond (1924-1977). Brubeck experimented with time signatures unusual to jazz. Are well-known recording, Take Five 1959, a composition of Paul Desmond, for example, makes use of the 5/4-size.
