2017 EU issue on 180g 2xLP- Recorded in 1962, but never before released "Ella: The Lost Berlin Tapes", a live concert in which The First Lady of Song finds herself in the shape of her life. Extracted from the huge private collection of Norman Granz, founder of the label, the recordings sound unimaginably pure. Two years after her performance in Berlin, which resulted in the hit album "Mack The Knife - Ella In Berlin", Ella returned. And again Granz decided to build up his recording equipment. Volkskrant: "Sometimes you know after a minute that you are listening to an album that you never want to distance yourself from. A feeling of bliss waves through your body when Ella Fitzgerald starts singing on this 1962 album The Lost Berlin Tapes."
