A disservice to the memory of Bill Evans and a most beautiful album, one that is carefully arranged with original music by Evans himself initiating and concluding the set.

The lifelong and characteristic theme of loss ("Re: Person I Knew" is probably more about Scott LaFaro than Orrin Keepnews) is balanced by the incredible "Very Early," one of Evans's first compositions that argues his belief in his genius as a composer and pianist.
