2021 reissue 180g coloured vinyl LP - Featuring the 2013 Eurovision Song “Birds” a.o. In 2013, Anouk was the Netherlands' representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. The day before competing in the first semi-final, she released Sad Singalong Songs, her eighth album. The album marked a change in sound for Anouk, containing more introspective, symphonic oriented rock ballads. Lead single “Birds” was the song she performed at Eurovision, ultimately placing 9th in the final; the best result for the Netherlands since 1999.

Sad Singalong Songs is the first album to appear on her own label Goldilox. The album contains the hit "Birds", the Dutch entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden. The song "Stardust" was unveiled to the public in December, with a lot of positive responses. The album contains 10 introvert and emotional songs that are strung together to form two "side-long" tracks. Sad Singalong Songs must be experienced as a whole, that the strong
quality of this collection of brand new songs Anouk only really comes into its own. As with her previous albums For Bitter Or Worse and To Get Her Together, producers have Gjerstad Martin and Torre Johansson Franz Ferdinand and The Cardigans at Sad Singalong Songs cooperated.
